About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Flood Risk Consultant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking business with strong long-term growth plans.

In this role, you will prepare Flood Risk Assessments and develop conceptual drainage strategies to support planning applications. You will also have the chance to lead small-scale projects and work closely with our geo-environmental team on multi-disciplinary developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce Flood Risk Assessments for planning submissions.
  • Develop SuDS strategies and drainage solutions.
  • Coordinate with sub-consultants (e.g., topographical or CCTV survey providers).
  • Liaise directly with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal team members.
  • Manage small to medium-scale projects.
  • Contribute to geo-environmental investigation reports.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a UK consultancy preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies. Candidates with 12 months experience will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Causeway Flow/Infodrainage (or similar software).
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently while staying aligned with project requirements.
  • Willingness to work towards professional chartership (e.g., CIWEM).
  • Full UK driving licence.
