About The Role

We are looking for a motivated and community-focused Food Health and Safety Officer to join our dedicated team at Publica. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified professionals, including those who are newly qualified.
As a Food Health and Safety Officer, no two days are the same. You'll play a vital role in safeguarding public health, shaping safer communities, and helping local businesses thrive.
You will work within Cirencester and have the autonomy to manage your own diary, carrying out inspections and investigations related to food hygiene and health and safety at work.
We are committed to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance. Therefore, we need a knowledgeable and proactive individual to problem-solve and help us implement continuous improvements.

Requirements
- Degree/Masters/Diploma in Environmental Health or Higher Certificate in Food Control and Health and Safety qualification
- Ability to build customer relationships
- Knowledge and experience in assessing complex situations and carrying out inspections
- Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging customers and environments
- Ability to resolve complex issues
Special Conditions
- Ability to travel
- BPSS clearance
