Foot Mobile Engineer

New Today

Due to a number of recent contract wins and internal promotions, we are seeking skilled Building Maintenance Engineers to join our established team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and growing business that delivers high-quality maintenance services across a portfolio of commercial properties in Central London. The Role: As a Building Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial sites. You'll be assigned a set of buildings within our client portfolio and provided with a weekly schedule detailing which sites to visit, when, and what tasks to complete (typically no more than 1‑2 sites per day). Key Responsibilities:
Undertake planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, fabric works, and general building services. This is within both land‑lord and tenant areas. Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure all work meets health and safety and company standards. Liaise with clients and on‑site staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Complete job sheets, maintenance reports, and any relevant documentation as directed by the helpdesk team. Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively highlight potential issues before they become problems. Work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
Requirements:
Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management within a commercial environment. Recognised qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent). Electrical certification preferred – up to 18th edition. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices. Excellent communication and organisational skills. An ability to use PDA’s / app to receive and close jobs.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary and overtime opportunities. Tools, uniform, and PPE provided. Ongoing training and career development opportunities. Supportive team culture with room for progression. Additional holiday days upon years of service. A low staff turnover, meaning you'll be working with established and recognised individuals within the business.
How to Apply: If you're a proactive and reliable engineer looking to develop your career within a growing company, we'd love to hear from you. Please reach out to Liam Hargate at Coyles for more details. #J-18808-Ljbffr
