My client a successful global strategy consulting firm are seeking an FP&A Investments Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be proficient in tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL, and have a strong background in financial analysis and the ability to work with large data sets.

  • Salary: £55,000 - £60,000+ generous bonus and hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly investment performance reporting and analysis, covering revenues, costs, margins, and cash flows.
  • Develop and maintain tactical reporting solutions to meet evolving stakeholder needs, using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL to design scalable, repeatable processes.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Systems team to transition tactical solutions into long-term scalable reporting platforms.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis and data-driven insights into investment performance, ensuring stakeholders receive actionable information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accuracy of investment reporting by liaising with local finance teams across global legal entities; manage and maintain investment-specific master data.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes by driving standardization, automation, and efficiency across tools and systems.
  • Present complex technical and financial information in clear, visually engaging ways, ensuring stakeholders can easily understand key insights.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience needed:

  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience building or working with driver-based financial models.
  • Proficiency with Alteryx and Power BI for data transformation, reporting, and dashboarding.
  • Practical knowledge of SQL for querying, joining, and preparing datasets.
  • Finance data domain experience – familiarity with financial data sets, processes, and systems.
  • Professional services experience – understanding of the demands and practices in a global, services-based environment.
  • Accounting foundation – a professional accounting qualification (e.g. UK qualification or international equivalent) is valuable but not essential.
  • Ability to integrate and work with multiple data sources (e.g. SAP ByDesign, Oracle consolidation tools, data warehouses
