Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh or Glasgow office 2 days per week for this position.

We’re looking for a Fraud and AML Analyst to join our Fraud and AML Strategy team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.
Fraud Applications Analyst to support in the reduction of fraud losses through effective rules management and monitoring. Utilising various fraud systems and providing robust insight and analysis of fraud losses across all banking products.
This role is great opportunity for anyone looking to progress in analytics, with exposure to projects, data migrations and internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be joining a small team who work closely with the wider fraud teams, along with operational and risk teams.
As Tesco Bank has recently been acquired by Barclays, this role will require supporting management with data integration, along with sharing ideas and looking for opportunities to improve. This will give greater exposure to wider teams and build a stronger understanding of banking risk, which will build a strong foundation for career progression.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing Application fraud strategies for the prevention of application fraud across multiple products.
- Maintaining rules within application fraud systems including Hunter and TMX.
- Development & maintenance of stakeholder relationships across Tesco Bank to support delivery of Financial Crime projects & ensure that fraud loss and/or customer impacts are minimised.
- Understanding complex problems that may involve various systems/departments and having the ability to identify potential solutions, while working with other departments to identify and support delivery of change.
We need you to have
- SAS or SQL programming experience.
- Ability to analyse and interrogate large data sets.
- Strong communication skills & ability to work well within a team or individually.
- Experience using the Microsoft suite – excel , outlook, VBA
And if you have any of these, even better
- Previous experience of fraud types and trends.
- A background in SAS/SQL/VBA would be advantageous.
- A degree utilising numeracy and analysis or equivalent work experience.
