Role Description

This is a freelance hybrid role for a part time Quantity Surveyor. Located in Kettering, the role allows for some work from home. The part time Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), managing and planning costs, and generating cost reports. Day-to-day tasks include conducting tender comparisons, recommendation reports, liaising with contractors and clients, and ensuring the financial success of each project.

Qualifications

• Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning skills
• Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Experience with JCT & NEC3 Contracts
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field, or working towards.

Part time role, 2-3 days per week initially - rate to be negotiated depending on experience.
