Role Overview
We are hiring a Freelance SEO Manager to drive keyword researchfocusing on both Simplified Chinese and English search behavior. Although the focus is on keyword research, this role requires someone with deep expertise in Baidu search trends, competitive mapping, and local content nuances within the luxury category.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Simplified Chinese and English keyword research using Baidu and other local platforms
- Identify high-potential keywords related to luxury jewelry, gifting, marriage, fashion, and lifestyle themes
- Cluster keywords by content type (PDP, editorial, FAQs, category landing pages)
- Annotate keywords based on intent, competitiveness, and priority
- Share insights on Baidu’s SERP dynamics, content formatting, and seasonal variations
Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in Simplified Chinese, with excellent command of English
- Proven track record in keyword research, specifically for Baidu
- Proficient in tools like Baidu Keyword Planner, with bonus points for access to platforms like 5118, Chinaz, Dragon Metrics, or similar
- Familiarity with how Baidu differs from Google in content ranking and UX
- Strategic mindset, able to translate data into meaningful keyword recommendations
- Keyword masterlist with search intent, content opportunity tags, and competitive annotations
- Optional clustering, keyword maps, or Baidu-specific insights
- Weekly updates and coordination with the APAC SEO Manager
