As a chapter lead, you'll focus on 'How' we work rather than the 'What' we deliver'. You'll lead, inspire, and motivate a team of colleagues, ensuring they are assigned to the right squads to deliver great outcomes for customers and drive colleague satisfaction. You will foster a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation, identify and onboard talent, and be an influential member of Tesco Mobile's leadership community. You will also practice hands-on mastery as a squad member, contributing to 'What' we deliver and serving as an expert in your craft.

Responsibilities as a Chapter Lead include:

• Being an active squad member with expertise to deliver outcomes
• Resolving impediments and driving business value
• Defining standards, methodologies, tooling, and practices
• Developing a mastery framework for personal and team growth
• Supporting colleagues' development through coaching and mentoring
• Fostering a knowledge-sharing community within your chapter
• Leading innovation and guiding the business in delivering solutions
• Managing colleague lifecycle activities
• Creating an inclusive culture aligned with our 'We're unique together' behavior
• Allocating colleagues to squads based on skills and development needs
• Contributing to chapter vision and strategy execution
• Driving outcomes aligned with business strategy

As a Squad Member, responsibilities include:

• Maintaining high code quality through reviews and best practices
• Collaborating on scalable, secure applications
• Supporting platform and application transformation strategies
• Implementing coding standards and design patterns
• Working with Cyber Security to ensure protection
• Driving CI/CD improvements and automation
• Diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges

Required technical experience includes:

• Robust backend solutions with Python and Django
• Java application development
• Experience with Golang (preferable)
• Frontend development with JavaScript and Angular
• Containerization with Kubernetes and Docker
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Extensive AWS experience
• Using Redis and RabbitMQ
• Database management and optimization
• Designing and consuming RESTful APIs
