Collaborate with architects and other developers to design robust, scalable, and secure architectures for new projects and enhancements to existing systems. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices. Contribute to improving our teams’ development processes, tools, and techniques to enhance productivity and product quality. Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and drive continuous learning and innovation within the team.

Preferred Experience

Experience of at least one leading Node framework (Express.js, Nest.js, Hapi.js) Expertise in at least one modern front‑end framework (Nest.js, Remix.js). Experience with TypeScript and modern development tools and practices. Experience of Test Driven or Behaviour Driven Development. Knowledge of (Cloud‑Native) development and serverless architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with version control systems (Git). Understanding of web standards, accessibility, performance and development best practice. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and clients. Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful. Experience of modern tooling such as Vite and Vitest. Familiarity with microservices architecture and API development (REST, GraphQL). Working with NoSQL MongoDB or SQL databases such as Postgres. Experience with mobile app development using React Native. Knowledge of UI component libraries like Material UI, and tools such as Figma and Storybook. A track record of mentoring and guiding junior developers. Integrating LLMs, using GenAI tools. Using the GovUK Design System, GovUK CASA, Nunjucks or Hapi.js
