Functional Assessor - Canning Town - Nurse

Position summary: As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions impact people's daily lives and ability to work, contributing to a fair and compassionate benefits system.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessments both face-to-face and via video or phone
• Take detailed medical histories and conduct physical examinations
• Provide findings to inform accurate, high-quality reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
• Work independently while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and continuous learning
• Support career growth in medical healthcare with a focus on professional development

About You / Qualifications

• A registered Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse or Mental Health Nurse with at least 12 months\' post-registration UK experience
• Confident in clinical decision-making with a strong understanding of functional assessment
• Skilled communicator able to build trust and ask the right questions
• Digitally capable, with experience using clinical software and systems
• Self-motivated and organised with a focus on quality and integrity
• Team-oriented, ready to support colleagues and contribute to a positive working culture

Salary & Hours

Salary: £37,500 - £46,215 depending on location and contract. Hours: Full-time, Hybrid, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
