Your Role

As a Functional Consultant at Treasure Data, you will orchestrate the delivery of innovative data-driven customer solutions by bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on requirements gathering, end-to-end solution design, workflow configuration, and enablement for Fortune 1000 customers. You’ll partner closely with clients, Engagement Managers, Solution Architects, and Data Engineers, delivering functional expertise across Customer Data Platforms (CDP), digital marketing, identity resolution, and advanced personalization while evolving your skills in AI and intelligent agent technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation and workshop sessions with business and technical stakeholders to uncover objectives, data challenges, and solution needs.
  • Analyze and document business processes, user journeys, data flows, and technical requirements, translating goals into actionable designs.
  • Partner with Solution Architects and Data Engineers to design and configure Treasure Data-based use cases, including segmentation, audience activation, personalization, and reporting.
  • Own the creation of documentation: requirements specifications, functional design documents, data mapping sheets, and end-user guides.
  • Configure no-code/low-code elements of CDP workflows, user interfaces, and data activation tools to meet client needs.
  • Execute hands-on testing, user validation, and troubleshooting of solution workflows prior to launch, proactively resolving issues to ensure quality delivery.
  • Deliver customer enablement (workshops, training, and guided handoffs) to business end users and technical client teams.
  • Advise clients on best practices related to data governance, consent management, identity resolution, and compliance within the Treasure Data ecosystem.
  • Contribute to playbook development and functional best practices to support knowledge sharing and delivery consistency.
  • Stay current with evolving trends in customer data, martech/adtech, and support early experimentation and enablement for AI and agent-powered use cases.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in functional consulting, business analysis, or solution delivery roles, preferably in SaaS, martech/adtech, or data-driven environments.
  • Proven expertise gathering and interpreting complex requirements from diverse business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing and configuring business workflows, segmentation logic, audience activation, and data transformations within a CDP or similar tool.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into actionable, documentation-driven solutions that fit within broader project architecture.
  • Hands-on skills with workflow/process builders, data mapping, and/or low-code SaaS configuration tools.
  • Familiarity with martech/adtech ecosystems and marketing analytics (channels, journeys, personalization, campaign measurement).
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills for leading workshops, delivering training, and translating technical concepts for business audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, with strong organizational habits and project delivery acumen.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to continuously learn and innovate in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Treasure Data platform or equivalent enterprise CDP platforms, including configuration, onboarding, and functional design.
  • Background in customer data management, digital marketing execution, or data privacy/compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience integrating or supporting AI-based solutions (e.g., AI/ML-powered recommendations, predictive scoring, or agent workflows) in a business context.
  • Certifications or demonstrated skills in building, testing, or enabling AI/LLM/chatbot/decision agent solutions.
  • Experience working on multi-functional project teams with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, and Engagement Managers.
  • French speaking is a plus.

  • Clients’ business and technical teams are equipped to activate, measure, and optimize new data solutions and campaigns.
  • Work products (designs, configurations, training) are reusable and help accelerate future solution delivery.
  • You serve as a resource for best practices in workflow configuration, enablement, and AI-powered use case exploration.
  • Internal and external teams value your expertise in bridging business goals with advanced CDP functionality and emerging AI/agent solutions.

Travel and Location

Physical: Working out of the London, UK or New York, NY office according to our Global Hybrid Working Policy.

Travel: Up to 20%
