Team / division overview
DWS Alternatives is a diversified set of business activities with approximately EUR 115bn in assets under management in strategies including Private Real Estate, Private Infrastructure, Private Credit, Liquid Real Assets (Real Estate/Infrastructure) and Sustainable Investments. The global team invests on behalf of a global client base that includes governments, corporations, institutional investors, and a growing UNHW investor group.
The DWS Private Infrastructure business focuses on acquiring and managing Debt and Equity investments in businesses that provide essential Infrastructure services in the transport, energy, utilities, digital, circular economy and healthcare sectors. With investment teams located in Europe and the US, the business has a global footprint and is focused on managing infrastructure portfolios that can meet the needs of institutional investors and private clients worldwide. The division has funds under management of approximately €15 billion.
Your responsibilities
As part of the Fund CFO team within Infrastructure investments, responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing quarterly investor reports and fund metrics for each Fund, including detailed review of asset metrics
- Managing investor queries across all Funds.
- Participating in the set-up of acquisition/investment structures.
- Determining the most appropriate accounting treatment for new acquisitions and share the final workings with the administrators.
- Devise funding for asset acquisition and add-ons/follow-on investments.
- Maintain and establish relationships with independent directors , independent valuers and other key relationships
- Maintaining co-investment and carried interest calculations across each Fund.
- Forecasting cashflows and managing Fund models at each Fund level.
- Execution of the fund facility for each Fund.
- Execution of co-invest structures including working out the allocation across of funds/repatriation mechanics.
We are looking for
- ACA (or equivalent accounting qualification) with proven PQE supporting Infrastructure and/or Private Equity funds, demonstrating a solid understanding of fund LPA, tax, legal and regulatory environments.
- Proven recent experience across Alternatives funds, with a focus on Private Equity strategies, supporting closed-end vehicles with drawdown structures and a knowledge of investor allocations.
- Ability to translate complex situation into succinct action points.
- Proven experience across topics such as investor reporting and fund performance, while supporting the structuring of new transactions and new product development initiatives for close-end Private Equity/Infrastructure funds.
- Motivated team member with strong attention to detail, with strong interpersonal skills with flexibility to work independently.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
