Overview
For roles based in London, your contractual place of work will be Stratford. While the Stratford site is expected to become operational from November 2025 – March 2026, you will be required to carry out your contractual duties from Vauxhall or another reasonable location on a temporary basis during the interim period. Stratford will be your contractual place of work, and any move from a temporary location will not entitle you to payments for travel time or costs under the Relocation and Excess Travel Policy.
About the Role
The in-house legal department sits at the heart of the NCA, providing specialist advisory and litigation support across the organisation. NCA Legal collaborates with operational officers, other Government departments, agencies and police forces on live investigations and legal challenges aimed at disrupting those investigations. The advice provided contributes to the disruption of serious and organised crime. The teams include solicitors, barristers, paralegals and a business management team.
Information about the Business Area
The Commercial and Employment Team advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious work, from public procurement and transformation projects to employee matters and policies, ensuring legal compliance in decisions about people and contracts.
Role Summary: the employment work is varied and challenging, including policies and employment tribunals, with possible national security aspects.
NCA Legal comprises the following teams: Data and Operational Advisory Team; Civil Litigation Team; Financial Disruptions Litigation Team; Disruptive Actions Litigation Team; Commercial and Employment Team.
We are recruiting exceptional Solicitors and Barristers specialising in employment law with significant post-qualification experience. You will support the Agency’s mission to lead the fight against serious and organised crime.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on a range of employment matters as part of the Commercial and Employment Team
- Cover matters such as policy and trade union consultation, recruitment, working arrangements, individual employment matters, grievances and employment tribunals, disciplinary and misconduct matters, and pensions

Salary allowances are reviewed annually and offers align with the Remuneration Policy. London-based roles include additional weighting; recruitment and retention allowances may apply. Selection Process
