Gaelic Development Officer

Highland arts organisation, Fèis Rois has received multi-year funding to support a Gaelic Development Officer in Dingwall through to 31 March 2028.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To lead on all areas of Gaelic development for Fèis Rois, including:

- Developing and delivering activities that increase the use and visibility of Gaelic within the new Fèis Rois cultural centre at Robertson House, Dingwall.
- Engaging in partnership working to support Gaelic usage in the community of Dingwall.
- Increasing opportunities for people of all ages engaging with Fèis Rois to develop their Gaelic skills.
- Raising awareness of Gaelic amongst Fèis Rois audiences and stakeholders.

KEY DETAILS

- Working Hours: 14 hours per week, including evenings and weekends when required (Please note that Fèis Rois operates a 4-day week and, as such, considers 28 hours to be full-time so this is a 0.5FTE post. There is a Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) policy.)
- Location: Robertson House, Dingwall (Please note that Fèis Rois has flexible and hybrid working policies, so not all hours will need to be worked from Robertson House. There is a strong community focus to this role, so there is an expectation that at least 50% of the hours will be worked from the office in Dingwall.)
- Salary: £15,366
- Holidays: 14 days per year, inclusive of public holidays
- Pension:You will be auto enrolled into an optional pension scheme. You will contribute 5% of your salary and Fèis Rois will contribute 5%.
