The Department

Developer Enablement is a function of the CTO organisation. Our mission is to make it easy and enjoyable for software engineering teams to go from a business idea to delivering an innovative product solution. The main goals are to improve and upgrade our tools, streamline our processes, automate and strengthen our controls, and help development teams adopt modern working methods.

The Role

We are seeking a technically versatile GenAI Solutions Engineer Lead to join our department. You will help set the technical direction, lead by example, and embed cutting-edge GenAI practices into our software delivery. This role requires deep expertise in software engineering and GenAI, with the ability to embed these practices into teams and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of user needs and contribute to the product vision by translating GenAI research into scalable, production-grade solutions, bridging experimentation and enterprise deployment. Our tech stack includes Python, Go, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes, Mongo, and GenAI features requiring adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Lead applied GenAI research, focusing on prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic workflows
  • Architect and deliver end-to-end LLM solutions—from experimentation to production
  • Design evaluation frameworks to benchmark LLM performance, safety, and behavior
  • Build integration layers connecting LLMs to APIs, middleware, and enterprise systems
  • Collaborate across teams to drive the adoption of modern engineering practices and GenAI tooling

Characteristics

  • Able to identify and solve problems effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in teams and remotely
  • Pragmatic with a creative approach to managing risk
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Shows enthusiasm and builds trust through empathy

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Lead, Software Engineering Manager, or similar role
  • Strong expertise in multiple programming languages (preferably Python, Go, and TypeScript), frameworks, and tools
  • Experience deploying LLM systems to production and understanding evaluation, guardrails, and monitoring
  • Proven experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, container-based microservices, distributed logs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and DevSecOps
  • Experience working in a product-focused team as opposed to a project-focused team is beneficial
