Responsibilities

As a GP working for GPDQ, you will have access to a multi-tude of workstreams enabling you to develop a portfolio career. You will be working for a private company providing high-quality, care services to registered patients, including the management of acute and chronic conditions, preventative care, health promotion, women’s health services (including contraceptive coil fitting/removal), and patient education - The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and a passion for promoting preventative health measures.

  • Carry out face to face, telephone and video consultations with patients to assess their medical needs, diagnose conditions, and provide appropriate treatment or referrals
  • Evaluate and mange a broad spectrum of health conditions, same day acute conditions
  • Perform clinical examinations and interpret results from diagnostic tests such as blood tests, ECGs and X-rays
  • Prescribe medication safely and appropriately in accordance with GMC and NHS standards.
  • Provide contraceptive services, including intrauterine device/system (IUD/IUS) insertion, removal, and follow-up care.
  • Manage chronic disease clinics (e.g., diabetes, COPD, hypertension) as required.
  • Provide health education, screening, and advice on lifestyle and preventive medicine.
  • Refer patients to secondary care and other services when clinically appropriate.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and child/vulnerable adult protection processes.
  • Work collaboratively with practice staff, community services, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and contemporaneous patient records (EMIS / SystmOne or equivalent).

Essential requirements

  • Registered with the GMC
  • Must have a Right to Work in the UK
  • No minimum post CCT experience – if a newly qualified GP then you must be working in a GP Practice or have worked in an NHS practice for a minimum of 6 months
  • Must be IT literate
  • Proven experience as General Practitioner, with experience of coil fitting
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues
  • Empathetic and patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery
