Job Title: Geo-Environmental Director - Manchester | Build Your Own Team
Location: Bristol (Hybrid/Office-Based)
Salary: £80K - £90K + Bonus + Benefits + potential equity

We're looking for an ambitious Geo-Environmental Director to build and lead a new Ground Engineering team within a thriving Civil & Structural consultancy based in Manchester. The Role: Geo-Environmental Director
- Establish and lead a brand-new Geo-Environmental team from day one
- Deliver a wide range of ground investigation and contaminated land assessments for major building and infrastructure developments
- Produce and sign off on technical reports: ground investigation, risk assessments, remedial strategies, verification, and earthworks
- Provide expert input into foundation design, value engineering, and material reuse strategies
- Collaborate closely with the existing civil and structural engineering teams
- Utilise your network to support business development, bringing in new clients and growing service lines
- Offer technical leadership and mentor junior engineers as the team grows
Geo-Environmental Director Requirements:
- Chartered Engineer, Geologist, or Environmental Scientist (CEng, CGeol, or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing complex ground investigation and contaminated land projects
- In-depth understanding of risk assessments, remedial design, validation, and materials management plans
- Strong foundation engineering knowledge - ideally with experience in detailed design and value engineering
- Excellent leadership and project management skills
- Commercially minded with a business development mindset
- Based in or within commuting distance of Manchester
