Overview

Geo-environmental or Geotechnical Consultant / Senior is sought to join the Geo Division in Exeter. If you’re looking for career progression and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in sectors like renewables, defence, commercial, and residential, we would like to hear from you. The Exeter office offers a dynamic base for delivering transformative projects across the UK and beyond.

Based at the Exeter Science Park, the office is located at Junction 29 of the M5, with cycle routes and public transport from Exeter City Centre. The space is a modern work environment with views across Exeter and east Devon, and includes Stantec’s technical disciplines that focus on water, ecology, infrastructure, and development sectors. Our geo team collaborates with other disciplines to support clients through planning and construction, providing expertise in scoping site investigations, interpreting field data, producing interpretive reports, and offering construction phase support. Some upcoming projects involve innovative systems and alternative approaches to manage ground risk in karstic environments, slope stability, and brownfield remediation across the southwest.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience across a range of ground conditions and producing interpretative reports, and who is ready to take the next step in their career development toward chartership.

About You

Your academic qualifications will include a BEng, BSc, or higher in Contaminated Land, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, and you will be working toward Chartership with a relevant institution. You will have developing experience in writing clear interpretive reports. Travel into the office regularly is expected as part of our hybrid working practice.
