HYBRID WORKING, 1 x DAY PER WEEK IN LONDON

We are recruiting for a GIS Data Technician on a contract to perm basis; work is hybrid with 1 day per week in West London.

Role Responsibilities

The GIS Technician will work collaboratively within a design and build team to deliver GIS outputs across multiple projects. This is an involved role using QGIS, Python, and internal custom-built tools to work with large GIS datasets. The position offers excellent long-term career development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

• 12+ months commercial GIS experience
• Degree in Geography or a GIS-related discipline
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and QGIS
• Entry-level Python knowledge
• Proficiency in GIS software for data capture and manipulation
• Strong attention to detail for high data accuracy
• Knowledge of spatial data formats and standards
• Understanding of geographic business intelligence
• Experience with Python (advantageous)
• Highly analytical with a “first-time right” approach
• Up to date with advances in the GIS community
• Ability to share knowledge and contribute ideas
• Excellent communication skills
• Motivated, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about challenges
• Strong desire to contribute to a unique product and user experience
