Job Summary

CBC Health Federation is looking to recruit a highly organised and motivated Governance Support Officer to work with our Quality and Governance Lead. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting governance frameworks and ensuring high standards of patient care through effective administrative and coordination practices. The Governance Support Officer will coordinate meetings, maintain accurate records, and assist in implementing governance processes and policies. The role is part time, 30 hours per week, ideally worked across five days and predominantly on-site, with some flexibility to work from home.

Experience

Essential

  • Basic knowledge of information governance
  • Strong levels of IT proficiency
  • Significant experience in an administrative role
  • Working and communicating with staff at all levels within the organisation
  • Experience in the use of databases and spreadsheets with accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including on the telephone and face to face
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and use initiative regarding tasks to see through to completion
  • Proven ability to handle a busy and varied workload
  • Excellent attention to detail with an ability to follow process
  • Understanding of Data Protection and Confidentiality
  • Strong organisational ability and ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Problem solving skills

Desirable

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Understand data and reporting on business performance
  • Experience of using a risk and incident management system
  • Experience of working within the NHS
  • Experience of policy writing and research
  • Knowledge of Adastra and EMIS
  • Ability to take notes of meetings and produce accurate minutes

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) graded 4 or above, including Maths and English GCSE
