Overview

Hawthorn One are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a global manufacturing business to source a Graduate Finance Business Partner. This role is extremely flexible, the business operates a 4 day working week and hybrid with 2 days working from the site and remaining 2 days working remotely. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated finance graduate to join a highly successful and growing UK manufacturing business. Working closely with an experienced Head of Finance, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all areas of the finance function, from management accounting and financial analysis to stakeholder engagement and commercial decision-making.

You’ll be part of a team that genuinely values development. As well as full support towards your professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA), you’ll gain exposure to how a high-performing finance function operates day to day, and see first-hand how finance adds value across operations, production and leadership teams. The experience and high quality finance team will provide ongoing mentorship and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse weekly flash P&L forecasts, including variance analysis to budget
  • Deliver data-led insight to support financial and operational decision-making
  • Partner with operations teams to identify performance trends and drive improvements in areas such as labour recovery and scrap reduction
  • Support the month-end process, including analysis of manufacturing variances and management reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of Board and SLT reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Degree qualified, ideally in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Keen to progress toward a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively
  • Excellent Excel skills and confident using Microsoft Office
  • A proactive learner with strong attention to detail and the desire to grow within a dynamic environment
