We have a range of graduate roles across our hardware teams. These opportunities are available within Central Engineering - Central Processing Unit, Central Engineering - Systems, Central Engineering – Productivity Engineering, Central Engineering – Systems, Sales and Partner Enablement and Solutions Engineering.

We work in small‑to‑medium teams that embrace modern Agile principles. Engineers share ideas, document and present their work, review and support the efforts of others, and communicate findings impartially and authoritatively.

What You Could Be Doing As a Hardware Graduate

  • Work on the specification and development of pre‑silicon verification plans.
  • Receive training in the latest advanced verification techniques.
  • Perform workload characterization to identify power/performance bottlenecks and propose solutions.
  • Create enablement materials and proof‑of‑concepts for Arm’s partners.
  • Collaborate in small, agile teams where ideas are shared openly and engineers support one another’s development.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who

  • Are currently enrolled and studying towards a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering degree (Bachelors, Masters or PhD students welcome). Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.

Qualities That Will Help Your Application Stand Out

  • Understanding of general‑purpose CPU microarchitecture, including processor pipelines, caches, and memory hierarchy.
  • Fundamental understanding of power and performance concepts as they apply to devices like networking IPs, CPUs, and caches.
  • Excellent programming skills including experience with C++, SystemVerilog, SystemC TLM, Java and/or Python.
  • Experience with Linux and source control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor Graphics).
  • We are very keen to hire people with a desire for computer architecture and programming. If you can supply links to any of your projects online, we will take the time to look through them.
