Graduate Telecommunications Engineer - Rail (Glasgow). About The Opportunity
Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector, working with major clients such as National Highways, Transport for Scotland, Manchester Airport Group, Heathrow Ltd, HS2 Ltd and the Welsh Government. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training using the latest software tools and exposure to a varied project mix from concept through to construction. You will assist and support colleagues in the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, and the production of detailed telecommunication designs to support the enhancement and renewal of the UK Rail telecommunications network on public and private sector projects across the UK & Ireland. As a graduate within our Rail Telecoms design team, you will contribute to the growth of Jacobs on major rail infrastructure projects such as HS2 and the TransPennine Route Upgrade. The start date for this role is September 2026.
What you'll need
- Be working towards a Degree level qualification in Electrical, Electronics or Communication Engineering
- A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
- Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
