Our team covers all areas of transport planning, from pedestrian and highway modelling, to public transport and spatial planning. As an integrated team, we provide design and planning advice from inception through to detailed design, often working alongside engineers, architects and master planners in multi-disciplinary teams.We are looking for an ambitious team player who wishes to assist in developing and communicating innovative and effective approaches to the analysis of public expenditure in a collaborative environment. The role would suit a self-motivated individual looking to begin their career in a dynamic team and it better understand how economic theory can be used to help solve real-world, practical challenges. We will provide training and support to progress your career and develop professionally. You will be working within a positive culture where learning and development is actively promoted.ResponsibilitiesAssisting in data collection and analysisReviewing and building economic modelsReviewing and drafting infrastructure proposal documents and associated business casesAssisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposalsAttending meetings and workshops with clients and members of other disciplinesQualificationsA Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths, or an MSc in Transport Planning with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or aboveA Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths, or Transport Planning would be an advantageTransport Planning modules or experience would be an advantageAbility to demonstrate a good technical understanding of Transport PlanningDemonstrable interest in Transport Planning and developing a career in this industryWilling and able to work towards chartership with the TPS, CIHT, or ICEGood Microsoft Office skills such as Word, Excel & PowerPointAbility to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writingEnthusiastic, hard-working, with ambition and driveAbility to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team as a wholeAbility to work in a team and independently without losing initiative & focusAdditional InformationProfessional Development: Our Graduate Development Programme (GDP) supports professional development with mentoring, training modules, and opportunities to work on live client projects across the UK & Ireland.About AECOM: AECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering services across transportation, buildings, water, energy and the environment.
