The majority of projects are in the North of England, with opportunities to support offices across the UK and Ireland and some national/international work. Training and career development are provided, with a focus on learning and progression within a collaborative, supportive environment.ResponsibilitiesData collection and analysisDevelopment of transport strategies and plansDeveloping and applying transport modelsScheme development and appraisalPreparation of transport assessments for developmentsPreparation of business cases for transport schemesAssisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposalsAttending meetings and workshops with clients, other discipline members and stakeholdersQualificationsA bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths, or an MSc in Transport Planning with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or aboveA Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths, or Transport Planning would be an advantageTransport Planning modules or experience would be an advantageDemonstrable technical understanding of Transport PlanningInterest in developing a career in Transport PlanningWilling and able to work towards chartership with TPS, CIHT, or ICEGood Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Effective communication with internal and external clients (verbal and written)Enthusiastic, hard-working, with ambition and driveAbility to structure and prioritise work and work in a team or independentlyAbout AECOMAECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm delivering services across the project lifecycle.
