Overview
We’re looking for a qualified accountant to join a high-growth, people-first business near Bath. You’ll take ownership of group accounting, consolidation, and reporting across multiple entities, while also getting involved in process improvements, forecasting, and strategic projects. This is a hands-on, broad role – perfect for someone on the path to Finance Director.
This role would suit a financial accountant or group accountant looking to step up, or someone ready for a sideways move who wants more variety, exposure, and scope. Your energy, personality, and ability to add value are key.
What you’ll be doing
- Prepare accurate and timely group management accounts with insight and commentary.
- Lead consolidations across multiple entities.
- Own balance sheet reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Manage group cash flow, working capital, and lender reporting requirements.
- Oversee tax compliance (VAT, Corporation) with external advisors.
- Deliver statutory accounts for the group.
- Support and mentor a small team, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partner with the Finance Director on forecasting, budgets, and strategic projects.
- Drive systems and process improvements across the group.
Who we’re after
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 1 year PQE.
- Fun, people-centric, and collaborative.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, with solid Excel skills.
- Bright and ambitious – either looking for a step up with scope to grow, or a sideways move with the passion to drive improvements.
- Confident communicator who enjoys working across the business.
- Able to be in the office around 3 days per week.
What’s on offer
- A truly fun, creative, and consumer-centric environment.
- A chance to be part of a diverse, growing, and innovative business.
