Group Finance Senior Manager

Newly created Group Senior Finance Manager position now available with a large global professional services firm. This is a high-impact role offering a unique blend of technical reporting, financial oversight, and commercial insight. You'll take full ownership of accounting and reporting for subsidiaries while contributing to the broader financial reporting and control framework of a dynamic, London Stock Exchange-listed group.

This role would suit a motivated and proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving business environment and is confident managing senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Subsidiary Reporting & Oversight

  • Lead monthly close for entities: trial balance review, journal entries, intercompany positions, and reconciliations.
  • Partner with third-party advisors to ensure timely and compliant financial submissions.
  • Act as a finance business partner to entity directors, building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure consistent IFRS application across subsidiaries, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 9.
  • Design and implement standardised, tech-enabled management accounts.
  • Own and manage the company's share scheme policy.
  • Support group consolidation, including elimination entries and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Lead preparation of half-year and year-end group financial statements under IFRS.
  • Manage relationships with Big 4 auditors, resolving complex queries and driving audit efficiency.
  • Prepare or review statutory accounts for subsidiaries as needed.

Controls & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to the Group Financial Controls Framework and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support automation initiatives and implementation of tools like FloQast.
  • Promote consistency and accuracy in reporting through standardisation and collaboration.

Skills & Experience needed

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant, audit-trained (Top 10), and experienced in statutory reporting, month-end close, and managing external audits.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in IFRS, with a background in multinational or listed companies and professional services.
  • Proven ability to improve processes and controls, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with systems like Sage Intacct.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, confident working with senior and international teams, and building trust across entities.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and accountable, with a hands-on approach and commitment to deadlines and continuous improvement.
