We're looking for a proactive CRM & Marketing Manager to help shape and execute campaigns that connect with our guests and grow our loyal customer base.

This is a hybrid role, working a minimum of 3 days per week from our London office.

The Role

As Group Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the UK, working closely with the Head of Finance in France to ensure consistency and alignment across the Group.

You will take ownership of statutory and management reporting, VAT and tax compliance, financial controls, and the annual audit process, while driving continuous improvement in systems and processes across the Group. This role is highly visible, working closely with senior stakeholders and external partners such as auditors, HMRC, banks, tax advisors, and insurers.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting for UK and French entities, including inter-company transactions, transfer pricing, and Group consolidation
  • Support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to tight reporting deadlines
  • End-to-end management of the annual and interim audit process, managing the relationship with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit
  • Prepare technical accounting papers required by the Board and auditors, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Collaborate with finance teams in both France and UK to ensure alignment on accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for the Group and oversee timely completion of statutory financial statements for subsidiaries, ensuring legal filings are made on time
  • Ownership of all accounting policies and procedures for the Group, including staying up to date with new developments in financial governance and local requirements across the UK and Europe; serve as the point of contact throughout the Group for technical accounting and reporting queries
  • Ensure effective cash-flow management, optimising financial resources to support operational needs, and ensuring compliance with bank covenant restrictions
  • Ownership of VAT, including the VAT treatment of menu items in sales systems
  • Strong understanding of tax and reporting compliance requirements, including submissions to HMRC
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc requirements

Key skills, competencies and experience

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA/ ACCA or similar) with +3 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS (French GAAP beneficial but not necessary), with proven technical accounting and statutory reporting skills
  • Proven experience of managing the month end and audit process
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and internal controls
  • Experience with financial consolidation, preparing group level financial reports, international transfer pricing, and inter-company reconciliations preferred.
  • Ability to deliver to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and hands on attitude and willingness to learn and assist when required
  • Ideally multi-site experience from the hospitality or retail industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Resilient under pressure with ability to maintain high attention to detail while working at pace under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect anomalies and ensure consistency and accuracy across reporting periods
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and ERP systems (experience of SAGE would be a bonus)
