Overview

Group Manager - Housing and Homelessness Services, Bridgend County Borough Council. 37 hours per week. The post has strategic management responsibility for all services delivered across the Housing Service. You will oversee and manage the housing and homelessness service, oversee the planning and delivery of housing support services, and plan and manage the development of a service that can meet current and future housing service requirements in Bridgend.

You will be an energetic and enthusiastic leader who is confident in providing guidance to senior politicians and managers. You will be a key player in the Council's senior management team and will be required to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal services and the Council’s many strategic partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic management for all services within Housing and Homelessness Services.
• Oversee planning and delivery of housing support services.
• Plan and manage development of a service that meets current and future housing needs in Bridgend.
• Lead and guide senior politicians and managers.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal services and strategic partners.
