Salary and benefits: £75,000 - £95,000 plus an indicative bonus range of 30%-60%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

The role
The Senior Manager will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Category to establish and drive the strategic direction of the team. They will be expected to lead, own, and deliver sourcing strategies for a portfolio of complex Technology services, creating value through cost savings, accelerating customer propositions, and enhancing our brand presence.
As a experienced leader, they will bring together deep industry knowledge, a curious and forward-thinking mindset, and a high-performing approach to inspire excellence across the team. Their strong command of procurement tools and strategic sourcing methodologies will be instrumental in navigating a challenging multi-brand landscape and uplifting procurement capability across the function.
They will lead by example; fostering collaboration, championing innovation, and mentoring others to build a culture of continuous improvement. With a clear vision for their categories, they will consistently demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to unlock optimal value through supplier partnerships and strategic engagement.
Team Development: Mentor and support developing a team of procurement professionals fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with category objectives and organisational goals.
Sourcing project leadership: Leading the sourcing and selection process for Technology services – negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks. This will include the leading of sourcing processes for significant projects across Technology.
Commercial Negotiation: Negotiating contracts and agreements with Technology suppliers to ensure the most appropriate terms and conditions, such as pricing, service levels, and risk mitigation. Evaluating Technology suppliers and negotiating contracts to optimise costs and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
Partnering and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and influence their Technology needs. Establish and maintain impactful relationships with key stakeholders and become recognised as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Technology. Partner with key stakeholders right across the organisation to understand corporate and local strategies ensuring alignment with the Sourcing strategies.
Market Knowledge and Insights: Build and maintain up to date knowledge of the third-party market for Technology sub-categories including current and evolving trends and existing and new market entrants. Seek out innovative solutions for the company.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with sourcing activities across the Technology supply chain. This will include managing regulatory contractual change, ESG standards, supplier risks, contract risks and ensure business continuity.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives with the Centre of Excellence team and colleagues ensuring that procurement and third-party management best practices and technology is adopted to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of GPPM.
What are we looking for?
- Membership of CIPS (Fellow or MCIPS level minimum) or another relevant accreditation.
- Proven track record and demonstrable experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain management with a focus on the financial services industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Technology supply market and emerging trends.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies, driving cost savings and managing supplier relationships.
