Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join our team and take a lead in driving new growth across the business. This role is to generate revenue by winning new business, closing deals, and strengthening relationships with both new and existing clients. While inbound opportunities are strong, you’ll also take a proactive approach in identifying and nurturing prospects that align with Verve’s vision and support sales targets. This is a high-impact, results-oriented position that demands a sharp focus on securing and retaining key business as we pursue a growth opportunity ahead. The ideal candidate will be nimble and comfortable with change as we scale.

You would report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and, day-to-day, help to:

Responsibilities

  • Drive and close opportunities: Manage the full sales cycle with financial planning firms, securing new business across core growth areas such as membership, compliance, paraplanning, technical, and proposition. You will engage with a range of roles within financial planning firms.
  • Shape new initiatives: Understand advisers’ pain points and feed back to shape go-to-market plans for new strategies and service offerings, defining how to engage and deliver value to our audience.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work with marketing, service, onboarding and product to ensure a cohesive approach to driving growth.
  • Act as a trusted adviser: Provide market insights and apply a consultative approach that positions Verve as a long-term partner helping financial planning firms improve efficiencies and reduce friction in their advice business.

About You

You may bring experience from tech-enabled services or regulated solutions. Ideally, you’ll have worked directly with financial planning firms or within their supply chain, giving you insight into the financial services sector and an understanding of advisers’ challenges. You will have a growth mindset and a genuine passion for the future of financial planning. Above all, we value a positive attitude, readiness to take on challenges, and teamwork.

Location & Salary

Location: hybrid position (based in Darlington) for local applicants or fully remote for the right candidate.

Yearly salary: competitive salary reflective of experience.
