About the role:
The Growth Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive lead generation and revenue growth for the specific division within Wesleyan. This role will lead the creation and implementation of a data-driven marketing plan, working closely with external agencies, internal teams, and the division within Wesleyan to identify opportunities for income growth. A key focus will be on optimising digital and traditional marketing channels (including paid search, social media, advertising, and email), managing the marketing budget effectively, and continuously improving performance through data analysis and A/B testing to achieve sustainable growth. Success will be measured against KPIs to ensure marketing initiatives contribute to business growth and market penetration. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity and analytical skills to scale customer acquisition, improve conversion rates and enhance customer lifetime value.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a marketing plan to deliver growth in the specific division that aligns with business objectives and revenue goals.
- Identify and test new customer acquisition channels, including digital marketing, partnerships, referrals, and organic growth tactics.
- Optimise customer journey and conversion funnels to improve performance.
- Work closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to enhance customer experience and drive long-term growth.
Customer Acquisition and Growth:
- Responsible for delivery of all activity in the marketing plan to deliver against agreed targets for the direct division.
- Lead and manage media planning, campaign management and optimisation of paid marketing campaigns across channels such as social media, search and email.
- Work with the CRM team to deliver customer journeys for existing customers that build engagement and increase share of wallet.
- Identify new growth channels to support business targets.
- Support the Head of Growth Marketing to optimise performance and share best practice across the wider team.
- Work with SEO manager to agree the search engine optimisation roadmap for division.
- Conduct keyword research to guide content teams, optimise website content, landing pages and paid search copy.
- Work with and brief agencies/internal teams to deliver high performing creative and content.
Performance & Data Analysis:
- Use data and analytics to track key growth metrics, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- Design and run A/B tests, experiments, and optimisation initiatives to improve marketing and sales performance.
- Develop actionable insights to refine growth strategies and ensure scalable success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the business unit to develop the marketing plan.
- Partner with product, sales, and marketing teams to execute growth initiatives.
- Work with creative design studio to develop high-performing campaigns and assets.
- Present growth plans, performance reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Application Requirements:
Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a growth, digital marketing, or campaign management role.
- Proven track record of developing and scaling customer acquisition strategies.
- Experience in data analysis, A/B testing, and performance marketing.
- Background in SaaS, e-commerce, fintech, or a high-growth business environment is a plus.
- Digital agency experience (performance media) is a plus.
- Experience from within General Insurance
Skills & Attributes
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using Google Analytics, CRM tools, and marketing automation platforms.
- Hands-on experience with SEO, PPC, social media, and content marketing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
- A proactive, test-and-learn approach with a growth hacking mindset.
