Your mission

Make an impact as Head of Accounts Receivable (AR) on the finance team. This role focuses on streamlining and automating AR processes while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely cash flow. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of AR operations and experience with process automation tools to drive improvements.

How you’ll drive success

• Accounts Receivable Management
  • Oversee and manage the company’s AR functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
  • Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up with customers on overdue invoices to ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and address billing issues with customers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate AR aging reports and provide insights into collections performance.
• Process Automation
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation in the AR process to increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with finance and IT to design, test, and implement automated solutions (invoicing, reminders, collections workflows).
  • Utilize RPA, AI, and other tools to optimize repetitive tasks (data entry, reporting).
  • Develop dashboards and reports for real-time AR visibility.
• Reporting & Analytics
  • Provide regular AR aging, cash flow projections, and collections activity reports to senior management.
  • Analyze payment trends and identify patterns of delayed payments; recommend improvements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end AR closing and related reconciliations.
• Collaboration
  • Work with sales, customer service, and other departments to ensure accurate invoicing and effective customer communication.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure seamless integration of automation into financial systems.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Stay updated on AR best practices and automation trends.
  • Recommend process improvements and lead projects to enhance AR efficiency.
  • Promote data integrity, compliance, and accurate financial reporting.
• Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations related to AR.
  • Monitor credit risk and potential fraud through proactive analysis.

What makes you the perfect fit

• Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, finance operations, or similar roles.
  • Experience with AR process automation (RPA, ERP systems, AI-based solutions).
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and payment platforms.
• Skills
  • Strong understanding of AR processes and financial reporting.
  • Experience with automation tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate) preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.

It will also be advantageous if you have experience or knowledge of finance and trading, and familiarity with TradingView.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid role based in London (The Shard) or Málaga office. Relocation support is available.
