Overview

Join one of the world’s fastest-growing technical teams, where innovation meets impact. We take the time to understand your skills and ambitions—because your journey matters. Amach is an industry-leading technology-driven company with headquarters in Dublin and remote teams in UK and Europe. Our blended teams of local and nearshore talent are optimized to deliver high quality and collaborative solutions. Established in 2013, we specialise in cloud migration and development, digital transformation including agile software development, DevOps, automation, data and machine learning.

We are seeking a strategic and analytically minded Head of Business Insights to lead our data-driven decision-making capabilities across the business. This high-impact role requires a sharp analytical thinker who can bridge the gap between data and strategic action, working closely with senior stakeholders to influence key business decisions. You’ll lead a team of analysts and insight specialists to uncover critical business trends, identify growth opportunities, and optimise performance. This role demands a rare combination of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to tell compelling, insight-led stories that drive alignment and decision-making at all levels of the organisation.

Please note this role operates in a hybrid model with candidates expected to be able and willing to work from our customer's Dublin office at least once per week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of business insights that support strategic planning, commercial operations, and performance management
  • Translate complex data sets into clear, concise, and actionable insights through proficient data storytelling and visualisation
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and provide forward-looking insights that influence key business initiatives
  • Build and manage a high-performing insights team, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigour, and forward-thinking analysis
  • Champion the use of advanced analytics, visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), and modern data practices across the business
  • Ensure insights are tailored to the audience – enabling faster, better decisions by translating technical detail into business-relevant narratives
  • Work cross-functionally to embed a data-driven culture and drive continuous improvement in how data is used across the organisation
  • Monitor external market, customer, and competitor trends to inform strategic direction and forecasting

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in business intelligence, analytics, or data strategy roles, ideally within a complex, regulated, or customer-centric environment
  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics)
  • Deep understanding of data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Tableau Cloud), data governance, and AI/ML applications in business contexts
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action and a passion for unlocking business value through data
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives
  • Familiarity with agile delivery models and product management principles
  • Experience in aviation, travel, or logistics sectors is a plus

What’s in it for you

  • An opportunity to join a fast-growing company
  • Options for career advancement
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Flexible working environment
  • Competitive salaries based on experience
