The Opportunity
Are you ready to transform how legal services are delivered to leading corporates, financial institutions and government institutions? We are seeking an exceptional leader to become our Head of Client Solutions, EMEA. In this pivotal role, you will design innovative legal solutions and drive new business origination drawing on the breadth of Ashurst Advance's capabilities-including Advanced Delivery, Legal Managed Services, Flexible Resourcing, Legal Operations, and Digital. You will be a key architect of our growth, working collaboratively across the business and with our clients to deliver sophisticated, high-impact legal solutions that differentiate Ashurst in market.
What You'll Do
- Lead Business Origination: Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new legal service opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and practice groups, contributing to the ongoing growth of Ashurst Advance.
- Design and Deliver Client Solutions: Generate and shape legal solutions to address emerging client needs, integrating Legal, Consulting, and NewLaw capabilities. Lead cross-functional teams, manage workstreams, and ensure solutions combine process, technology, and talent effectively.
- Measure and Report Success: Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, including return on investment, to ensure our solutions provide measurable value to clients and the firm.
- Support Business Development: Contribute to business development initiatives across the EMEA region. Prepare sales and marketing materials and client proposals that highlight our expertise and the benefits of our solutions.
- Foster Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work with colleagues across Ashurst Advance and the wider firm to share knowledge and best practices, supporting excellent client service and strategic goals.
- Uphold Risk and Compliance Standards: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
What We're Looking For
- Win Matters: the ability to identify opportunities for the provision of NewLaw legal solutions and to convert those opportunities into revenue
- Thought Leadership: a track record in leading successful transformation and digital innovation in a legal context
- Solution Design: experience in designing and delivering complex legal solutions, using advanced technologies and business processes. You are conversant with digital technology, including Generative AI, and its strengths and weaknesses.
- Business Development: skilled at building relationships and communicating with law firm partners and senior executives. Able to bring people together to develop and secure new business.
- Financial Understanding: knowledge of the economics of legal services, including NewLaw models and digital tools. Able to advise on pricing strategies that meet client needs and support firm profitability.
- Mentor: able to lead by example, support diversity and inclusion, mentor colleagues, and encourage a collaborative working environment.
- Communication: able to explain complex ideas clearly and build trust with clients and colleagues.
- Adaptability: comfortable working in dynamic environments and open to change.
Preferred Experience
- Certifications in design thinking, agile, lean, project management or similar
- Conversant with document automation, collaboration platforms and workflow
- Technical skills with the Microsoft Stack including Power Platform and design skills with tools such as Visio
- Advanced skills with Excel and reporting tools
