The Company

The UK & Ireland arm of a leading multi-national healthcare business (c£25bn turnover) is seeking a high-impact finance leader to head up the Commercial Finance function for its Ireland business (c£30m turnover). With an emphasis on business partnering, performance insight and forward planning, this is a key finance role at the heart of a fascinating and complex business.

The Role

Reporting to the UK & Ireland Finance Director, the Head of Commercial Finance (Ireland) plays a pivotal role in business partnering the Ireland business, adding value through production of consistent and quality monthly reporting, short and long-term forecasting and modelling financial scenarios enabling sound business decisions.

The role is hybrid, 3 days/week on site, and can be based in either Ireland (near Dublin) or Runcorn. If based in Runcorn, there is a requirement to spend 2 or 3 days every other week in the Ireland office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business Partnering – supporting the Sales and Marketing teams across a number of product categories, assisting in driving margins, controlling costs within budgets and developing business models and driving well informed commercial decision making
  • Financial Planning & Analysis – working with local management in developing Forecasts, Budgets and Medium Term Strategy for allocated business streams and cost centres
  • Local and Global Reporting – Production of a variety of monthly management reports to UK, region and Group reporting deadlines via SAP

This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on shaping financial narratives and delivering impact through people and insight.

The Candidate

  • Commercially astute qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with at least 5 years’ PQE
  • Strong technical grounding including IFRS and advanced Excel skills. Experience of ERP business systems – ideally SAP.
  • Proven experience in FP&A, reporting and commercial business partnering
  • Confident communicator and influencer at senior level
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing high-performing teams
