Head of Compliance & MLRO (SMF16 & SMF17) - Consumer Lending. Gloucester (Hybrid – as little as 1 day a fortnight in the office). 4-day working week with a full-time salary.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of 2, lead core compliance initiatives and the company’s control framework.


• Build relationships with key stakeholders, promote an ethical working environment and drive through regulatory change.


• Provide regulatory advice, guidance and challenge to the business; promote a culture of continued improvement in the quality of the customer experience and ensure the fair treatment of customers.


• It is envisaged that you’ll also take on the MLRO responsibilities in due course.


• Potential to progress to Chief Compliance Officer.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a similar senior Compliance role (ideally SMF16) within a regulated Consumer Lending environment with strong working knowledge of the FCA Handbook (CONC, DISP, SYSC, etc.) and Consumer Duty.
