What you'll do

The Head of Creative will lead the visual and creative execution across Dorchester Collection’s portfolio, bringing the brand’s identity to life through exceptional design, photography, film, copy and digital media. As a key member of a collaborative marketing team, this role blends technical production expertise with creative leadership, ensuring that all output aligns with the overarching brand strategy. The ideal candidate is a visionary creative with strong cross-media skills, a collaborative mind-set, and the ability to translate strategic goals into refined creative concepts.

  • Creative Concept Development: Partner with the marketing, digital, and comms teams to develop best-in-class creative concepts that align with brand strategy and meet multi-channel needs.
  • Production Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end creative production of design, photography, film, copy and digital media, ensuring technical and visual excellence across all outputs.
  • Art Direction: Lead the creative vision for photography and film shoots, including art direction, talent selection, on-set supervision, and post-production workflows (retouching, editing).
  • Gatekeeper for Excellence: Ensure all creative assets maintain visual consistency and exceptional quality.
  • Team Collaboration: Bring the creative perspective to a collaborative marketing structure, working seamlessly with digital, PR, and brand teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, designers, and agencies to continually build a world-class creative network.
  • Campaign Execution: Oversee the development of 360 campaigns, from concept to execution, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and in line with strategic goals.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay ahead of design, creative, and multimedia trends to keep Dorchester Collection’s creative output fresh, relevant, and inspiring.

The hours of operation for this role are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, based in our corporate office in Knightsbridge, with a work from home day on Mondays.

What you'll bring

  • Experience in senior creative leadership roles across (but not limited to) luxury, retail, agency environments
  • Proven expertise in design, photography, film production, social media, copy output and digital media
  • Experience with large-scale, multi-channel campaigns, especially with social and other digital media, working cross-functionally within collaborative teams.
  • A nuanced understanding of brand strategy and its execution through visual storytelling.
  • Demonstrated experience in commissioning and directing global photography and film productions, including post-production workflows.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as strong presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative vision and rationale to senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously.
  • Fluency in leading creative production and collaboration platforms (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma or Airtable), as well as project management tools such as ClickUp
  • A proven team player with the ability to mentor, support, and inspire junior creative team members.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale departmental and campaign budgets, managing forecasting and vendors effectively
  • Detail-focused with an unrelenting commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
  • Passionate about the luxury space, with a strong understanding of UHNW audienceand an eye for refined elegance.
