This is a specialist role at an exciting time, as international data exchanges increase in volume and complexity. The role involves operational delivery of automatic information exchange with offshore tax authorities under various treaties and agreements, communication with overseas authorities, handling enquiries, and delivering presentations. Technical expertise in AEOI and IDET services is required, along with strategic leadership for new projects as Product Owner. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential, and travel may be required, including overseas overnight stays.
HMRC has adopted a hybrid working model, currently requiring colleagues to work in the office 3 days a week, subject to business needs.

Person Specification
- Product owner for AEOI projects, participating in meetings, developing processes, and challenging delivery plans where appropriate. Responsible for project documentation sign-off.
- Engaging with internal and external customers and stakeholders, resolving issues, and liaising with overseas tax authorities.
- Representing the UK at OECD AEOI meetings, providing technical expertise.
- Potentially managing team members as the role develops.
- Confidently reporting analysis findings to stakeholders.
- Using analytical skills to improve processes and share ideas.
- Maintaining accurate statistics and reporting from data files.
- Managing data imports and exports with secure encryption standards.
- Conducting international presentations and sharing best practices.
- Leading team activities and approving work tasks.
- Participating actively in team meetings and leading as necessary.
Essential Criteria
Extensive technical knowledge and experience of Automatic Exchange of Information, Agile project delivery, product ownership, XML, Excel, and SQL for data analysis.
