New Gorbals Housing Association is a dynamic community-controlled organisation. We own and manage 2,500 homes for rent and factor 1,900 owners’ homes. As Head of Development, you will lead on the planning and delivery of new build, modernisation and environmental projects. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will also contribute to the strategic direction, governance and operational success of the Association.

Base pay range

EVH Grade 10
Spinal Points SM17 – SM19

£80,045 - £83,399

Key responsibilities

  • Lead on all aspects of new build and regeneration projects, including site identification, feasibility, planning, procurement and contract management.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and line manage development staff.
  • Identify and secure development opportunities and funding, including private finance and government grants.
  • Contribute to corporate planning, financial forecasting and carbon reduction strategies.
