Head of Ecommerce
New Today
We’re the Moonpig Group – home to Moonpig, Greetz, Red Letter Days and Buyagift – and we’re on a mission to make people feel loved, celebrated and remembered. Whether it’s a card that gets them laughing out loud or a gift that makes their day, we help people stay close, no matter the miles.
We’re proud to be leading the online gifting revolution, with brilliant products, clever tech and a whole lot of heart. Our platform makes it easy to create moments that matter – packed with personal touches and delivered with care.
We’re not just about selling cards or gifts – we’re here to spread joy, spark smiles and make every celebration feel extra special. And with values that guide how we work and support one another, we’ve built a place where people (and ideas) can truly thrive.
If you’re looking to make an impact, bring your spark and be part of something meaningful – we’d love to have you on the team.
As our Head of eCommerce, you’ll be the person who makes sure our customers have the best possible online experience — and that our business grows right along with it. Reporting to our Trading Director, you’ll turn data into smart decisions, ideas into engaging experiences, and strategies into results. You’ll work with brilliant people across Marketing, Product, and Finance, leading a talented team to bring our vision to life across our site and app.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute UK trading strategies to maximise revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
- Bring the trading vision to life through precise web and app content planning & execution — from banner imagery to copywriting.
- Analyse KPIs, sales performance, customer behaviour, and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges, providing clear recommendations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate sales forecasts and trading plans aligned to business objectives.
- Design and run promotional campaigns, monitoring pricing effectiveness and promotional ROI.
- Create and manage pricing and content testing roadmaps, using A/B testing to optimise strategy.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify gaps and competitive advantages.
- Work closely with Marketing to align trading with campaigns and with Product to enhance the user experience.
- Produce impactful reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders, using data storytelling to drive decision-making.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing trading & performance team, fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture.
- Proven track record in senior eCommerce trading or commercial leadership roles, ideally in high-growth, data-led environments
- Highly numerical with strong analytical skills — comfortable interrogating KPIs, customer behaviour data, and trading metrics to guide decisions
- Commercially sharp with deep understanding of online trading levers, forecasting, and performance optimisation
- Experienced in A/B testing, promotional planning, and pricing strategy, with a focus on measurable ROI
- Skilled communicator who can translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for all stakeholders
- Collaborative partner able to work seamlessly with marketing, product, finance, and beyond
- Inspirational leader who can build, motivate, and retain a high-performing team
