Head of Educational Effectiveness & Quality Assurance – East Midlands. Hybrid - 2 days on site per week. £650-£700 per day. Inside IR35 (via umbrella). 6 months.
A Local Authority in the East Midlands are seeking a Head of Educational Effectiveness & Quality Assurance to provide strategic leadership, innovation, and challenge across Education Effectiveness for children and young people aged 0–16.
Responsibilities
- Lead on school improvement, governance, safeguarding, and early years education.
- Shape and deliver innovative strategies to improve access, quality, and outcomes for children.
- Collaborate across services including Inclusion, Social Care, and Early Help to ensure equity of opportunity.
- Influence key decision makers locally, regionally, and nationally to raise the profile of education in the Local Authority.
- Oversee financial, strategic, and operational planning to deliver sustainable high-quality services.
You will bring
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and degree-level education (or equivalent).
- Significant senior leadership experience in education and system-wide improvement.
- A track record of driving high-quality outcomes in challenging environments.
- Strong partnership skills, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate across multi-agency settings.
- Financial and resource management expertise, coupled with a creative, solutions-focused mindset.
