Head of Energy & Utilities

Location: Uxbridge. Full-time role based 5 days in the office.

Purpose and scope/General summary: As head of the Energy and Utility Procurement team you will be based at our corporate office in Uxbridge, London. We are looking for a strategic, forward-thinking professional who will be responsible for overseeing competitive sourcing of power, natural gas, and all utilities across UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Purchase power, natural gas, water and industrial gases for all sites in UK, Ireland and Europe
• Lock in market values at competitive costs. Strong ability to perform market research and pricing forecasts
• Review suppliers and sourcing supply
• Analyse economic and market data related to UK energy markets
• Budget, forecast and monitor site usage rates and costs
• Ensure sites have adequate supply to run efficiently
• Development of energy risk management models and tools
• Prepare regular reports and market updates for senior management
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Team leadership and management skills
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in statistical software and databases
• Knowledge of power, natural gas, fuel and currency markets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to travel as required
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Finance, Data Science or related field required; MBA preferred
