Head of Fleet - Technical South East London

A leading company in the Rail sector is currently recruiting for a Head of Fleet who will be responsible for the Fleet Technical team to ensure safe operation, optimal performance and reliability for their fleet of trains.

The role will involve strategic development of fleet maintenance practices in line with contractual obligations and leading technical specifications for fleet projects that support delivery commitments and long term asset performance and improvement.

The role will have 12 direct reports and indirect 35 staff. The role offers hybrid working and will require travel to different depots on the network including East London, Kent

As Fleet Engineering Manager you will have:

• Ideally you will be working towards or have achieved Chartered Engineer status
• It would be great if you have experience working on Rolling Stock however similar industries will be considered
• Experience of reliability challenges, performance and maintenance optimisation
• Experience of leading a technical engineering team and developing high performing teams
• Strong communication skills and able to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels

The role comes with salary circa £80,000 - £85,000 plus excellent Pension scheme, Rail Transport, Healthcare and other great benefits
