Douglas Scott is partnering with a highly respected, award-winning law firm in Ashton-under-Lyne to find an experienced Family Solicitor ready to take the next step in their career.

This is a standout opportunity to lead a growing team, manage your own private family law caseload, and shape the department’s future— with a clear path to Head of Department.

The Role

You’ll handle a broad range of private family law matters while guiding and mentoring junior team members. Depending on experience, you’ll step in as Team Leader or move straight into Head of Department. Caseload includes:

• Divorce & civil partnership dissolution
• Complex financial remedy cases
• Prenuptial & postnuptial agreements
• Cohabitation & separation disputes

Who They’re Looking For

• 4+ years PQE in private family law
• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads
• Confident advocate and excellent communicator
• Leadership experience or ambition to step into a senior role
• Organised, personable, and a team-focused mindset
• Passionate about developing people and departments
