- Leadership and Team Management: Guide a multilocational team to drive effective Non-Financial Risk (“NFR”) management and enhance the Finance control environment, promoting a culture of 'One Team'.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with senior Finance, Risk, IT, and Business leadership to drive delivery of the future state, ensuring cross-functional issues are addressed and stakeholders are aligned.
- Operational Effectiveness & Control: Provide oversight to ensure controls and procedures meet audit and regulatory expectations, driving standardisation and eliminating wastage.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain professional relationships with senior FS&GEC stakeholders, driving standardisation and consistency across teams, and presenting insights at senior forums.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements
- Demonstrable understanding of Control Frameworks and Risk Management: You will have a robust understanding of control frameworks and risk management, including how to implement and maintain an effective control environment in practice.
- Regulatory Reporting Expertise: A deep understanding of regulatory reporting, including the associated operating model, processes, and controls, is essential.
- Experience of directing, engaging, motivating and leading a team globally.
- Banking Business Acumen: Good knowledge of the banking business, including products, balance sheet, and profit and loss (P&L).
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: The ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority and geographical locations is crucial.
- Operational Effectiveness and Control: Experience in providing support and oversight to ensure that controls and procedures are designed effectively and operate robustly to meet internal and external audit and regulatory expectations.
- Collaborative, engaging, credible and methodical; being able to bring the numbers, policy, strategy, initiatives and narrative to life globally (e.g., presenting management information (MI) to a wide range of stakeholders/ senior management).
