Reed Finance are pleased to be supporting a growing family owned SME business who have created a new Head of Finance position to ensure growth is maximised and built upon. This will initially be a stand alone role where over time you’ll build the finance function, paying particular emphasis on building the personnel, infrastructure and operations.

Reporting into the owner and CEO, the ideal candidate will be hands-on, operationally and strategically focused, capable of building teams, operations and processes.

A few key day to day duties:

  • Full control of monthly Management accountswith commentary and analysis
  • Management and control of budgets
  • Manage all cashflow including review and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with tax and accounting regulations.
  • Manage the annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Provide supporting financial information for monthly board reporting within set timescales.

Required skills and experience

  • Qualified accountant or equivalent
  • Experience working in an SME business and in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of having implemented and developed financial processes within an SME.
  • Ambitious, energetic, with a pro-active and entrepreneurial approach
  • Confident and able to communicate effectively.
