Role Description

The Head of FP&A will lead the financial planning and analysis function across the Group, driving strategic insight, performance reporting, and forecasting. This role is critical in supporting executive decision-making, investor reporting, and financial strategy. The FP&A Analyst and work closely with regional finance leads, Group Accounting, and the Commercial Finance team. Based in central London an average of 3 days a week onsite.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles.
  • Own the Group financial model and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership to assess financial impact of strategic initiatives.

Performance Reporting

  • Deliver monthly and quarterly performance packs for the Board and investors.
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary across revenue, margin, and cost lines.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to track business performance.

Commercial & Analytical Support

  • Support commercial decision-making with scenario modelling and ad hoc analysis.
  • Lead margin and cost analysis across product lines and geographies.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to identify and implement performance improvements.

Investor & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare financial materials for investor updates and board meetings.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in external financial communications.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor the FP&A Analyst and future team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and analytical excellence.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Drive automation and efficiency in reporting and planning processes.
  • Enhance data integrity and financial systems integration.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in FP&A leadership roles, ideally in PE-backed or multi-entity environments.
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Commercially astute with a strategic mindset.
  • Experience working with international teams and cross-functional collaboration.
