Role Description
The Head of FP&A will lead the financial planning and analysis function across the Group, driving strategic insight, performance reporting, and forecasting. This role is critical in supporting executive decision-making, investor reporting, and financial strategy. The FP&A Analyst and work closely with regional finance leads, Group Accounting, and the Commercial Finance team. Based in central London an average of 3 days a week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles.
- Own the Group financial model and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to assess financial impact of strategic initiatives.
Performance Reporting
- Deliver monthly and quarterly performance packs for the Board and investors.
- Provide variance analysis and commentary across revenue, margin, and cost lines.
- Develop and maintain KPIs to track business performance.
Commercial & Analytical Support
- Support commercial decision-making with scenario modelling and ad hoc analysis.
- Lead margin and cost analysis across product lines and geographies.
- Collaborate with regional teams to identify and implement performance improvements.
Investor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare financial materials for investor updates and board meetings.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in external financial communications.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor the FP&A Analyst and future team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and analytical excellence.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Drive automation and efficiency in reporting and planning processes.
- Enhance data integrity and financial systems integration.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in FP&A leadership roles, ideally in PE-backed or multi-entity environments.
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset.
- Experience working with international teams and cross-functional collaboration.
