Role purpose

We wish to appoint a dynamic, well qualified, and highly effective teacher to the position of Head of Food and Nutrition. This is a key area of our thriving curriculum, with the scope for future curriculum growth. The subject is delivered to all pupils at Key Stage 3, and offers very popular GCSE Food and Nutrition and Catering & Hospitality pathways. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop within an established and supportive team of colleagues and will have the benefit of our modern building and specialist rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Food and Nutrition curriculum across Key Stage 3 with opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee GCSE Food and Nutrition and Catering & Hospitality pathways.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support teaching and learning in the department and across the school.
  • Contribute to school-wide CPD and curriculum development within the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust.
