We are looking for an experienced Professional to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men, Jack Black and recently acquired Cremo Grooming… just to name a few!).

Now, Let’s Get Down to Business

  • This senior commercial leadership role is responsible for driving Excellent Execution, Market Share Gains & P&L growth across the Grocery and Highstreet channels. The Head of Grocery and Highstreet will lead a high-performing team and be accountable for delivering commercial success across both branded and private label portfolios. As a member of the UK & Ireland Sales Leadership Team, the role will contribute strategically to the broader commercial agenda and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • A proven ability to deliver significant positive range review results, leading to market share turnaround and substantial share gains, is essential to this role. Strong commercial acumen, team leadership and strategic focus are critical to this position.

Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to:

  • Develop and execute channel strategies to deliver Volume, Net Sales, and Profit targets
  • Deliver market share gains and ensure excellent execution first time across all key customers and formats
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) and negotiations with key customers
  • Ensure world-class in-store execution and promotional effectiveness
  • Lead the setting, tracking and delivery of the in-month financial target
  • Deliver format-specific strategy, execution, and performance—particularly focused on winning in .com, convenience and trial & travel formats
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 11
  • Set clear goals, manage performance, and build succession plans
  • Coaching and Sales Capability Development

Customer Development

  • Build multi-level relationships with major Grocery and Highstreet customers
  • Drive customer engagement and secure buy-in to strategic growth plans

Forecasting & Planning

  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and collaborate with Demand Planning and Brand teams
  • Ensure alignment with Integrated Business Planning processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Customer Services, Demand Planning, and Shopper Marketing
  • Champion cross-functional initiatives to improve commercial outcomes

Are You Ready to Show Us What You’ve Got?

Here’s what we are looking for:

  • Proven leadership experience in FMCG within multiple channels, ideally within Grocery and Highstreet
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering e-Retail (pure play & .com)
  • Strong understanding of branded and private label dynamics
  • University degree or equivalent in a commercial-related field
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and strategic planning skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy
  • Experience managing distributor relationships (Ireland advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI)
  • Strategic Thinking & Execution
  • Commercial Delivery & Negotiation – Excellent Execution, Market Performance & P&L delivery

Key Stakeholders

  • Internal: General Manager, Sales Director, Marketing, Demand Planning, Finance, Customer Services, Shopper Marketing, Category Management
  • External: Grocery & Highstreet customers, distributors, agencies
  • Functional Leadership: Member of UK & Ireland Sales Leadership Team
  • Hybrid working model – minimum 2 days / week in office Tue & Wed (Great Portland Street, London)
  • Travel required across UK & Ireland
  • Occasional work outside standard business hours
